DayCue for iOS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 17, 2026

DayCue does not collect, store, or share your personal data. This policy explains what happens on your device and how your data stays yours.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No personal information (name, email, location)
  • No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
  • No advertising identifiers or third-party SDKs
  • No crash reporting that leaves your device
  • No payment or billing information

Data Stored on Your Device

Your countdowns, preferences, and any photos you attach are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage. This data never leaves your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

Notification preferences are stored in your device's local settings and are never transmitted anywhere.

iCloud Sync

If you choose to enable iCloud sync, your countdown data is stored in Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. This data is associated with your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Ortek Group has no access to this data โ€” it flows directly between your devices via Apple's infrastructure.

iCloud sync is opt-in and can be disabled at any time from the Settings tab in the app.

Photos

If you add a background photo to a countdown, that photo is copied into the app's local storage on your device. It is not uploaded to any server. If you delete the countdown, the photo is deleted with it.

Accessing your photo library requires your permission, which iOS will request when you first attempt to add a photo.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Ortek Group does not receive, store, or process any payment information. For questions about billing, please contact Apple Support.

Purchase status is verified locally on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework.

Notifications

DayCue can send you local notifications as reminders for upcoming events. These are scheduled on your device and are never routed through external servers. Notification permission is requested during onboarding and can be changed at any time in iPhone Settings.

Children's Privacy

DayCue does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The app has no mechanism to collect personal data from any user, regardless of age.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL with an updated effective date. We will not reduce your privacy protections without clear notice.
